Bible Verse Of The Day #22

Verse Of Today:

1 Thessalonians 5:6 {6} Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but watch and be sober.

Inspiration:

As Christians, we are not to be lazy with the things of God. We can never afford to go in the line of “Let’s live for today and let’s live for ourselves”. God’s love calls us to do otherwise. We are to remain alert so that we may never be caught unaware by the enemy and so that we can also be aware of when we are to act on God’s word. If we end up sleeping, we will miss out on many things and we may incur consequences that could have been avoided.

Prayer:

Dear God, in a world where laziness and a lack of foresight are promoted, may you help me remain vigilant and level-headed. May you help me to stay away from being carried off by the things of life, Lord. May I remain fixed on you and nothing else, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray Amen.
