Night Prayer #6

1 Corinthians 12: 12-14 {12} For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. {13} For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. {14} For the body is not one member, but many.

Inspiration: All believers do not have the exact same spiritual gift(s) from God. None of us have arrived at perfection, and God uses each of us in different ways to help each other grow in grace. We should not despise any member of Christ’s body based on their having a different gift that what we have been blessed with.

Prayer: Help me to appreciate and benefit from the gifts you have given to others, Lord. May I not think my gift is more important then everyone else’s but given thanks to you for the great diversity of gifts you have so graciously bestowed. Amen!!
